Digital Media - Y6
Wed 18 May 2022Year 6 have been busy this afternoon perfecting their digital media skills. In our Art unit, we have explored the work of Mike Barrett and identified different effects to digitally manipulate images. This afternoon, Y6 created their final image (using PIXLr) which will then be combined to create a final self-portrait. We were very excited to be using the Apple pencils! More updates to follow…

Art trees in Elm Class
Wed 18 May 2022We all had an amazing time when we completed our painting project . We used watercolour pencils and brush to create a fantasy tree. What an amazing job we did !

Growing beans in Reception
Tue 17 May 2022We have planted our own beans and are keeping a diary of the changes each week. We have been using cubes to measure how tall they are and comparing the sizes.

Fruit salad by Reception
Tue 17 May 2022We read and discussed the story Handa’s Surprise. The children loved learning about all the different fruits and talking about where Different fruits can be grown. Yesterday we learnt how to chop fruit safely and made our own fruit salad. The children were fantastic at waiting their turn and sharing out the fruits.

Training as ‘Zog’ in Cedar class
Fri 13 May 2022Cedar class have enjoyed pretending to be ‘Zog’. The children have been learning to side gallop, throw over arm for distance and jump and land safely whilst displaying the character trait courage.

Tri Golf festival
Fri 13 May 2022Years 3 and 4 represented Primrose Hill last night at Holy Cross High school competing against other local primary schools in a Tri Golf festival. They had a wonderful experience and lots of fun as you can see from the photographs. Thank you to the staff who supported this event and well done to the children.

Creepy Crawley Roadshow visit in Reception
Wed 11 May 2022Reception loved having John from the Creepy Crawley Roadshow visit school today. He brought us some wonderful mini beasts including a stick insect, snail, snake, cockroach and spider. Some children were chosen to hold his insects and were very sensible.John told us lots of facts and information about each one and the children asked some super questions to find out more. Well done!

Wed 11 May 2022Lancashire Cricket coaches visited Mont Blanc and delivered an amazing skill session and taught a really fun cricket game called ‘Fives’!
