Y2 Elm European Languages Day - Italy !
Fri 08 Oct 2021Ciao everyone !
We had a fantastic time in Elm class today learning about Italy. We were very fortunate to have Miss Hall from Year 5 who lived in Italy for 5 years and so she started us off with an immersion in language ! Some of the sounds were tricky to pronounce , but we learned to say good morning, hello, bye, 123 and also some of us learned to say My name is .
It was great to also learn about some famous places in Italy such as the Colosseum in Rome and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We had a try at making out own leaning towers. What fun we had!
We all went off home waving our Italian flags and shouting Ciao to everyone we could see.
