Hindu Dancing in Ash Class
Wed 02 Nov 2022Ash class really enjoyed dancing to Hindu music yesterday with Prags. We loved wearing the traditional clothing and practising the traditional moves. Prags was very impressed with our concentration and added on an especially tricky dance for us at the end!

Hinduism chat in Snowdon Class
Wed 02 Nov 2022We were very lucky today, we got to spend time with Praggs. She told us about the importance of pilgrimage in the Hindu faith. She showed us pictures from her pilgrimage to the River Ganges. She was really impressed by the questions the children asked.

Reception- Multi Cultural dancing
Tue 01 Nov 2022Reception loved dancing with Prags this morning. She talked about how we might look or dress differently to each other but we are all human and share many similarities. We enjoyed dressing up in traditional Hindu skirts and waistcoats then learnt some new dance moves!

Multicultural dancing in Cedar Class
Tue 01 Nov 2022Cedar class thoroughly enjoyed listening to Prags this morning discussing differences and similarities. We then dressed in traditional Hindu outfits to join in a Hindu dance called, ‘ Where is the Party? ‘. Everyone had fun and Prags was very impressed with our dancing and singing.

Super character description
Tue 01 Nov 2022Snowdon class have worked so hard to create detailed descriptions based on a character from the short animation The Lighthouse. Their use of expanded noun phrases and fronted adverbials have really impressed me.

October in Reception
Fri 21 Oct 2022To celebrate our class Ted's birthday we made paper chains, printed wrapping paper for pass the parcel and learnt how to write cards and invitations.
We also learnt how to use a new app called 'Chatterpix' where we could make a character talk using our voices.
In P.E we have been practicing jumping, hopping and landing safely off apparatus.

Cedar Class making a nest in Forest School
Fri 21 Oct 2022What a wonderful time we had today in Forest School, learning about how many different types of nests there are and all the various animals that build them. Then we built a class nest together, thinking about building up the sides and making the interior all soft and cosy.

Cedar Class learning to program using Scratch Jnr
Fri 21 Oct 2022On Thursday, Ian from Apple, came to teach Cedar Class how to use ‘Scratch Jnr’, a programming App. The children enjoyed learning how to create a code to make a character move around the screen and even chose their own background. We had a very exciting morning and learnt lots of new skills, which we enjoyed sharing with each at the end of the lesson.
