The children enjoyed exploring different materials in continuous provision.

BSL Awareness Week in Elm Class
Tue 14 Mar 2023What a fantastic time we had in school when Leanne and Scott came to talk to us about BSL (BSL stands for British Sign Language). This week is BSL awareness week so it was a great time to learn something new !
We had fun learning some simple signs like good morning, and we are going to sign the class register from now on! We had a great time learning to fingerspell our names, and learned about Leanne’s job as an interpreter. Scott explained to us about how things are different when you are deaf, and he said that with his desk friends, they use the lights and flash them to get attention !
