• Great Snowdon Book Swap

  As a class, we have been collecting books we have read and want to share with others. We played ‘Pass The Book’ until we found something that took our fancy! Most people took two or three books to read. When they have finished the book they can swap it again. Thanks for bringing the books in team!

  Everyone had a great day yesterday dressing up as a word. We spent some time during the day researching the word we had chosen, looking at synonyms and antonyms. Good job team!

  Words, wonderful words! Snowdon class have dressed up as some outstanding vocabulary choices in celebration of World Book Day today. Many thanks to parent# and carers for their help. The children looked outstanding!

  A huge well done to our year 4 vocabulary parade winners, Phoebe and Eva, for their fantastic outfits today. Phoebe came as a tourist and Eva came as indomitable. 

  

• Year 4 Ben Nevis World Book Day

  Today, everyone in Ben Nevis Class came as a different word to celebrate World Book Day. In the afternoon, all of Key Stage Two came together to have a vocabulary parade where everyone showed off their wonderful outfits. The children loved seeing their friends dressed up and learned lots of new vocabulary!

• Year 1 Vocabulary Parade

  This afternoon Key Stage 1 took part in a vocabulary parade to decide the winning costumes and words. In Year 1 the winning word was 'messy' and the runner up was 'smart'.

   

  There were some unbelievable 'vocabulary designs' so a big thank you to all the parents who helped their children become a word for the day.

  What a magnificent day full of captivating language! Rivington definitely rose to the challenge and displayed their vocabulary skills to a superb level. Parading for the rest of the Juniors was great fun and we were all very proud. Well done and thank you!
