All the children had a brilliant time learning actions and simple sign language signs for animals . It was such an interactive performance and we all loved joining in with the farmer song.

Y2 Elm - baking Hamantaschen biscuits DT and RE
Thu 13 Feb 2020As part of both our RE and DT topics we made some Hamantaschen biscuits to celebrate Purim. At Purim, Jewish families have a party to celebrate the story of Esther. They remember Haman, who was evil, by making triangular biscuits just like the triangular hat that he wore.
Everyone had an amazing time mixing the ingredients together to make our own version of Hamantaschen . Pat in the kitchen kindly baked our biscuits for us and we all enjoyed them at the end of the day !

Y2 Elm - Teddy Bear Meditation PSHE
Thu 13 Feb 2020We had a wonderful time this afternoon when we practised some Teddy Bear Meditation with Mrs Cook. Miss Pearson brought her teddy Musical Ted and Mrs Caunce brought a lovely rabbit too. We all enjoyed learning to relax and cuddle our teddies. We thought about the people who made us happy whilst we were cuddling our bears, and also the times and places that made us feel happy too.
It was lovely to see the children so relaxed, and we are sure we can practise some of the ideas at home too.
